Sunset Bay Country Club has been around informally for many years, but was only recently officially named. Before then, the Club community organized many events together, both casual and highly elaborate. The idea for the Club arose one evening as a group of friends reflected on recent construction projects. A new project: a nine-hole golf course and the Sunset Bay Country Club, was born.
In 2003, the clubhouse was completed and held its first event that summer. The nine-hole golf course was organized in 2004 and hosted the First Annual Fourth of July Best Ball Golf Tournament that same year. The course is challenging in its ruggedness and is intended to put golfers of all skill-levels on equal footing.
The placement of holes is also subject to change from year to year. However, this course is not impossible. There are already two witnessed holes-in-one on record.
Membership is exclusive and by invitation only. However, if you do tee up at this very special Club, you'll find yourself fortunate to be among friends and good times.
